The Cryptologic Instructor (UNIX) shall analyze customer requirements, available training methods and material, and facilities to design the required curriculum for classroom instruction. The Cryptologic Instructor (UNIX) shall provide classroom instruction that teaches assigned materials. The Cryptologic Instructor (UNIX) shall manage the instructional content for the assigned topic area. The Cryptologic Instructor (UNIX) shall develop, and deliver new content and make recommendations for revisions of existing topic area content that is covered by this contract. The Cryptologic Instructor (UNIX) shall conduct practical exercise in a laboratory environment, conduct student study all periods and provide tutoring/remedial instruction.


  • An Associate’s Degree in Computer Science or a directly related field and 2 years work experience in the specified topic area (UNIX Operating System) to include all of the following:
    • Memory management
    • Files systems
    • Process management
    • Boot processes
    • UNIX kernel
  • In lieu of an Associate Degree, a minimum of 4 years applied practical work experience, within the last 6 years, in the specified topic area (UNIX Operating Systems)
  • 2 years’ experience, within the last 3 years, in preparing and presenting skills-based instruction to adults in the specified topic area to include facilitating student participation through role playing or operational simulations.
  • Knowledge in Microsoft Operating Suite of products (EXCEL, Word, outlook and PowerPoint)
