Responsibilities

Functional Responsibility:

  • Supports Team in all AP/AR functions
  • Processes payroll and expense reports
  • Reconciles transactions by comparing and correcting data
  • Maintains databases and employee data by entering, verifying, and backing up data.
  • Reviews and updates employee benefits ensuring appropriate coverage in payroll system.
  • Recommends actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses
  • Increases productivity by developing automated accounting applications; coordinating information requirements.
  • Protects operations by keeping financial information confidential.
  • Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing publications.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Prepare documentation for all bank, financial, and government audits
  • Prepare financial reporting and invoicing to government agencies and customers
  • Provides support for all projects assigned to the Accounting Department

Qualifications

Professional Experience:

  • U.S. citizenship is required
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience working in the accounting field
  • Basic understanding of government contract accounting
  • Must be able to review detailed financial documents and synthesize meaningful conclusions
  • Must have excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communications skills, and strong math and computer skills (MS Office)

 

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field. In lieu of degree, High School diploma and 10 years of experience in Accounting or related field.
