Overview

The SIGINT Support to Military Operations (SASMO) Program trains SIGINT Geospatial Analysis (SGA) and Target Digital Network Analysis (TDNA) analysts and Operational ELINT Analysts supporting military operations (e.g., rotational, expeditionary deployment positions in support of crisis, contingency, and campaign operations - worldwide) via adaptable and relevant multi-week course instruction using the most current tools and tradecraft.

Salary at LG-TEK is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $70,00.00 to $110,000.00 annually. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of LG-TEK’s total compensation package for employees. Responsibilities

SASMO Instructors are responsible for developing and implementing training processes, procedures, and course content to ensure mission requirements are met in a timely manner. They provide training support to ensure operations personnel receive the necessary systems knowledge required to adequately perform their assigned duties and organizational requirements. They understand end-to-end data flow analysis and perform signal analysis to identify signals of interest. They have an understanding of communication systems and antennas.

SASMO Instructors conduct course instruction by applying adult learning principles, theories, and practices, including formal platform, hands-on tutoring, Adaptive Learning, interactive exercises and include Blended Learning approaches. Course instruction and delivery is performed in a manner reflecting the highest standards of the adult education profession and supports learning solutions consistent with Department of Defense (DoD) Instruction (DoDI) 3305.09. Instructors tie together course modules, learning materials, and hands-on activities during class instruction in order to facilitate student interactions that allows students to contribute their unique knowledge and perspectives to the learning experience.

SASMO Instructors work in conjunction with Government instructional system developers, adjunct faculty, and subject matter experts to develop and design course content and learning materials that pertain to required technical subject areas. Bloom's Taxonomy and Instructional Systems Design (ISD) frameworks (e.g, ADDIE, SAM, AGILE, etc) are consistently used in the maintenance of existing courses and/or the design of new course offerings.

SASMO Instructors provide hands-on tutoring to analysts in required Technical Subject Areas. During these sessions, the SASMO Instructor works directly with the analyst to ensure they know how to be compliant when using SIGINT analytic tools, collection systems, and computer interfaces to perform various SIGINT functions, as well as applying the SIGINT tradecraft learned in class. Also, SASMO Instructors may participate in quarterly SME/Tutoring seminars, working groups, or analyst-to-analyst exchanges that consist of discussion-based experientials to enable students to improve their knowledge and understanding of a relevant topic.

Qualifications

SASMO Instructor - Level 1 Requirements:

- Minimum Top Secret Security Clearance with at least a Counter-Intelligence (CI) polygraph is required

- Two (2) years of relevant SIGINT experience in the (one or more) technical skill/area of expertise for which they are to provide training:

Advanced COMINT Analysis
Advanced ELINT Analysis
Radar Theory
FISINT
PROFORMA Signals Analysis

 

Highly-Desired Skills and/or Experience:

- Previous SASMO or NCU Adjunct Faculty certification
- Military service component Master Instructor certification
- Advanced education and/or certifications in training-related fields
- Experience ensuring digital content and systems meet Section 508 accessibility standards for individuals with disabilities, including familiarity with ICT Fundamental Accessibility Requirements
- Mobile Training Team (MTT) experience
- Jupyter Notebooks

 

Minimum Clearance Level Required: TS/SCI w/CI Polygraph
